Sprayed gelcoat on the top portion of the plug. I used Evercoat thinned down and used a modified $10 Harbor Freight HVLP gun that I drilled out the nozzle to 1.8mm. Worked great. Mixed a slurry of polyester resin, flox and carb o sil and applied to the corners made by the plug and forms for rear flange and mold split dam. Then began the process of laying up 5 layers of fiberglass matt and polyester resin. Each layer was allowed to cure overnight before the next layer was applied to prevent shrinkage
